Stochastic inflation formalism and its application on phenomenology

Chia-Feng Chang

In this talk, we briefly review the stochastic inflation formalism, then apply on a scalar field which is a spectator field during inflation. The quantum fluctuation of the spectator field causes a non-Gaussian field distribution around the universe that have been studied in various topics. For example, the dark matter [1905.01214] or axion isocurvature [1805.07362], and the curvature perturbation from SM Higgs [2011.11649]. We discuss those applications and further compare the stochastic formalism and the gaussian field fluctuation in phenomenology point of view.
